On Friday the boys basketball team defeat the Hilmar Yellowjackets by a score of 52-44. The Indians are now 5-2 in league and trail in second place behind 6-1 Ripon Christian. While Hilmar falls to 2-5 in season play. The Indians held off the Yellowjackets and had the lead the whole game.
Sophomore Kole Stevens led the charge for Ripon with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Fellow sophomore Aaron Pashchini contributed with 14 points, 3 rebounds, and a steal. Good games from both of the sophomores.
This victory gives Ripon momentum which will help them in this upcoming three game stretch. They play Riverbank, Ripon Christian, and Escalon. If the Indians wish to get first in league they’ll have to win their three final games and hope Ripon Christian loses another game.
The Indian’s next game is against Riverbank Tuesday at home.
