“I haven’t stopped smiling since June 25, when I found out”, said Mr. Rangel, speaking about his new job.
Rangel went to Ripon High as a student 21 years ago. Since then, he as came back and has been working in the district for 15 years now. Throughout that time, he has worn many different hats. He has coached sports including wrestling, football, and track. He’s been the attendance supervisor, a substitute teacher, a P.E. teacher, and the vice principal.
His biggest goal is to build the world’s greatest high school. To achieve this goal, he has an open door policy, keeps a positive attitude, and encourages “tons” of involvement.
Rangel strongly believes, “Becoming the best is a mentality,” and that “Attitudes are more contagious than any disease.” “I want to make my attitude worth catching,” said Mr. Rangel.
