On Thursday, Sept. 22, Ripon overcame Sonora’s girls’ golf team 155-173 at Jack Tone, despite winds blowing throughout the course.
Senior Laura Williams was a highlight in the team, hitting a low score of 37, especially taking in consideration the blowing climate at the green. “The girls are playing well. They work hard at their games and when they are not hitting the ball […] they ask me for help, which makes my job much easier.” Mr. Dambrosio stated.
Ripon High’s golf team shouldn’t be slowing down anytime soon, as competition awaits. “Our next match is the mid-year tournament at Micke Grove (on Sept. 26.)” Dambrosio noted after the game.
