Last Monday the Varsity girls soccer team played their first game against Manteca High.
The first two goals of the night were scored by Manteca. Freshman striker Tianna Sidtikun scored the first goal for Ripon, Aubrey Pelon a freshman scoring the last two. The final score was 4-3 Manteca. Even with their first game a loss, Aubrey Pelon, a freshman playing on varsity, said, “I’m so excited. I feel like we’ll be strong once we get to know each other, I feel like we can really really dominate.” There are four freshman on the varsity team; Tianna Sidtikun, Aubree Pelon, Kierra Chavez, and Payton Johnson. “The older girls have been super friendly since day one of tryouts, this made playing a lot easier because you got to know their personalities, which made it less awkward on the field,” said Aubree Pelon, smiling as she talked about her team.
Their next game will be held at Davis High on Friday 2, come watch their next game and help support our lady Indians.
