Vaping Taking Over

Vaping Taking Over

Vaping has been a problem since the early 2000s and has recently taken a heavy toll on society. It is common to see people vaping almost everywhere you go; even school. Vaping has gotten out of hand at Ripon High School and the staff has to check the bathrooms regularly. They check four to five times a day to see if teenagers are vaping. When you vape, it stays in your body for two to three days, but it damages your lungs forever.

“Is vaping worth it in the long run?” Mark Dobbins, the campus supervisor questioned.

Vaping has many cons and it may cause you to become addicted to nicotine and the other ingredients that make the vape juice. Not in all cases, but in a lot of them, people who vape are more likely to do other drugs or progress to more hardcore drugs later in life which can permanently ruin it. Other drugs like marijuana stay in your system for over 30 days, preventing you from being able to get a job that drug tests its employees.

“You’re going to lose your job, your family, and you’ll wonder where they all went,” states Dobbins.

Doing drugs, like vaping, can distance you from your family and friends. It can also be difficult to find a job because a lot of jobs do not allow their employees to smoke on the premises. If you are addicted, you are likely going to want to do the drug(s) of choice all the time.

Vapes can cost a lot of money depending on the style and where you buy it from. It is around $40 for the device itself, but you also have to buy the vape juice which can also be up to $40. That is $80 you can spend on more positive things that do not damage your body. You can save that money and put it towards a car or your college tuition.

In the long run, be real about vaping. Do not look for the positives in something that does not have any. You are not likely to see that it is a problem until you see it happen around you. The vaping devices keep getting smaller and most of the time, you can not smell it. The real question is, do you wanna make your life better or worse?
