Seniors Taking Off

As the month of October comes to an end, seniors are making one of the biggest decisions of their lives. With this time of the year comes a lot of stress for the senior class. They are faced with the decision of having to decide on where they want to go to college and their future career goals.

The class of 2022 have very diverse ranges of ideas for their future. Some are applying to go to the local junior college, others to a 4-year college, or even the military. Certain students even plan to go straight into a career or trade school. The possibilities are endless, however the workload and deadlines are all approaching quickly.

“I plan to transfer to a 4 year university, get my bachelors degree, and start working after attending MJC,” said Julian Lagonera, senior.

Many students are starting their long journey with attending a junior college. After junior college, they are hoping to go to a 4-year college. Other seniors, however, plan on heading straight into a 4-year right out of high school.

“I plan on attending a 4 year college in the fall of 2022 (…) I want to attend a 4-year college because I hope to further my education and become successful. I plan on staying in California for college and majoring in ag business/business,” said Rylan Pieretti, senior.

Many of our seniors at Ripon High have high hopes for their future. Applying to college or the military is not an easy task. It takes countless hours and dedication to complete this process. Thankfully, the senior class is guided by the Ripon High college counselor, Mrs. Goudeau, who helps them out whenever needed. There have also been many workshops held to help the seniors apply to MJC and other 4 year colleges thus far.

“I plan on applying to and possibly attending Cal Poly, Fresno State, Chico, or UC Davis,” stated Rylan Pieretti, senior.

The college and to-do list is just growing for seniors. Most will find out of acceptance sooner than others. Some will go straight into the workforce or military. The class of 2022 is full of high achievers and talented individuals. We can’t wait to see where they end up!
