Ripon Unified District has noticed many students calling out for school due to them not feeling good or testing positive for covid. There have been many teachers at Ripon High who unfortunately have tested positive for covid and have not been at school for more than a week. Luckily, the end of the school year is ending, meaning everything kids need to worry about is completing their finals. Many schools around the district have sent emails to all parents regarding tips on how to avoid getting sick; many students could have a simple cold or could be sick due to the weather changing drastically everyday.

Many teachers at Rhs have been absent due to them getting a positive covid test result. Many teachers plan to come back next week for finals. Many teachers wished this wouldn’t happen to them at the worst possible time of the year since the school year is almost over and students are preparing themselves for finals. Many students have questions for those teachers who are absent or late/missing work that needs to be turned in on time. Some students even need to review a specific material with a teacher but yet, unfortunately aren’t able to.

“I’ve seen that teachers have been getting sick recently and honestly I’m pretty sure this is because of the senior DisneyLand Trip; that’s where it all started.” Ayleen Alcala, junior

The Covid-19 virus will never disappear, due to it being a virus just like the Flu, we will need to constantly re-boost our Covid Vaccine. At this time, the CDC is encouraging everyone to contribute on their part and still be cautious of your surroundings, especially if going out to places like Disneyland where lots of physical activity and contact are at. Wash your hands, do not socialize as much, and most importantly, if you are sick, stay at home and do not go out anywhere.
