Obsessions

We all have things we are absolutely infatuated with! Whether in research, creating, or collecting, there are many ways to express obsessions! Everyone has that one thing that makes them explode into conversation. Going on and on about this thing they are so excited and passionate about! Talking to the students of Ripon High,They were asked asked  what they were obsessed with!

“I’m really obsessed with storms, like lightning and rain,” said Sloane Nokleholm, freshman.

People could have obsessions with quite actually anything. People don’t blame Nokleholm, rainy days are quite calming! Other students are obsessed with creepy characters and tarantulas. Clearly an obsession for the braver of heart! Other obsessions the students of Ripon High have is with crystals, social media, and art.

When asked about why they were obsessed with art, Ace Kerr replied.

“Cause’ it’s a way to calm down and it just becomes obsessive,” said Ace Kerr, sophomore. Obsessions usually have some sort of gain or benefit! Kerr is obsessed with art because it’s soothing to them. Obsessions can make people happy, calm people down, or even serve as a coping mechanism. An obsession can even be a hobby, a good pastime! On the other hand, obsessions can be dangerous or harmful.

“I think if obsessions are good or bad depends on what it is you’re obsessed with,” said Ryder Downey, freshman.

Absolutely true! An obsession should become a healthy, happy thing in your life! It shouldn’t be an unhealthy addiction. Some may not have that special interest or hobby at all. Still looking for that special thing that makes you go on a big rant. It is encouraged of you to go out and try new things! Going outside your comfort zone and trying something new, that may lead to your new obsession!
