RHS’s 90’s club
Are you looking for a new way to get involved at your High School? Then this is the club for you! Ripon High has had a lot of new, amazing clubs this year. One of them includes the new 90’s club run by Mr. Ramirez and Mrs. Ross. They do so many fun activities that include watching 90’s TV shows. Right now they are watching “My So Called Life,” which was made in 1994. You do need a permission slip to join but the club accepts anyone and everyone.
“We specifically focus on films and shows of this time period. We are currently watching, “My So-called Life,” which was created in 1994,” said Mrs. Ross, teacher.
Mrs. Ross and Mr. Rameriz agree that this show is very relatable to a lot of high school kids because it has drama, love, and humor. The club will be discussing the show after watching it and talking about their feelings towards the film. It is just a really relaxed club that is super fun and accepting to everyone.
“Mr. Ramirez came up with the idea. He and I had been discussing our love of this show for quite awhile. It really does have a cult following, even if it was just one season. The writing is outstanding, the music is great, and of course we both love the nostalgic aspect of the show,” said Mrs. Ross, teacher.
This club is just a really fun way to learn about the awesome 90’s era. It is so easy to join and is just a good way to take a break from the stress of students’ classes. So get involved! Join this awesome club! Everyone is welcome and the club meets every Tuesday at lunch in Mrs. Ross’s room. All you need is a permission slip.
“The 90’s Club is composed of members who love to appreciate such a great era of time, the nineties,” said Mrs Ross.
