This Wednesday, Ripon High sophomore Hannah Sweet swam an epic 500 meter freestyle..
At the Downey vs. Ripon meet Sweet was done before anyone knew it, she waited on the wall for the others to finish their 20 laps while she got a much deserved break after a harsh swim. She finished first with a time of 5 minutes 22 seconds.
During Sweet’s swim fellow swimmers cheered her on. When asked about Sweet, fellow swimmer Kyra Foley said, “It was a good thing Hannah counted the laps in her head, because the counting got all messed up.”
“It kind of funny for us seeing all the messed up counting and Hannah having counted her laps in her head. It will definitely give us something memorable to look back and joke about!” Continued Foley.
