XC Has High Hopes Of Advancing to Sections and State Finals

Wednesday afternoon, Ripon cross country competed in TVL finals and all teams did well.  JV boys placed second overall for the season, led by Christian Pelaez and Sabino Brooks.  Boys varsity also did well taking third overall after Riverbank and Hughson.  Varsity girls have the highest hopes, coming just short of beating Riverbank girls, taking second overall thanks to motivated runners like Ellie Waters and Cynthia Castillo, who have a good shot of making it to state individually if the team doesn’t all make it.

This was a year with some tough teams, making TVL one of the toughest leagues in D4 schools in the state.  All of our runners ran hard and went all out.  Saturday the 9 is the subsection meet, which determines who makes it to sections, then even state.  There is fairly high chances for most of the Ripon teams to advance, especially varsity girls.  No matter what happens, this has been another great season from our Ripon High Cross Country team!!!
