What makes Ripon High, Ripon High? Our school has many awesome things that contribute to the positive environment. The fun rallies, dances, parties, clubs, and more are all an important part of that, but the most special part of Ripon High is the people. Some people in particular stand out for different things. Whether it’s their leadership, their confidence, or their personality, they are all apart of our tribe. One person at RHS stands out specifically for her kindness.

You might have seen Hannah Willey around our campus laughing with her friends, smiling, or offering people compliments. Even if you don’t know her personally, her upbeat character is hard to miss.

“It is important to be kind as it is a way to make others feel loved and appreciated,” Willey stated. “Being kind and overall good energy makes everyone feel better that is around you, including yourself.”

Willey has many role models in her life that she is thankful for, but one person in her life is very special to her. She greatly admires her sympathy towards others and her kindheartedness.

“My greatest role model is my mother. My mom is an important role model to me as she is always loving, honest, and trustworthy,” Willey says. “My mother is also very generous. This generosity is not just extended to her children, but she always extends a helping hand to anyone who needs it.”

As her freshman year comes to an end, Hannah is able to reflect on her time here at RHS. Along with all of the friends and memories she has made here, she has come to love the positive atmosphere and diversity, and can’t wait to enjoy the last few days of the school year.

Something I admire about the environment at Ripon High is all of the different people , personalities, and perspectives that Ripon High offers,” Hannah says. “Knowing others’ backrounds and views is something that helps us understand one another much better, and helps us to grow.
