While most of you were at the Almond Blossom festival or parade last weekend riding rides and hanging out with friends, the Marylou Tornell Art Show was being held. Some of your fellow students were participants in it too. Sammantha Lund, Perla Garcia, Katelynn Phillips, Ashlynn Rhodes, Brittney Mai, Donovan Martinez, Mireya Tavizan, Ashley Burgos, Lauren Bartels, Victoria White and Michelle Kottler all participated in the local art show and shared their pieces of paintings, drawings, and photographs. Sammantha Lund even won Honorable Mention! Great job Sammantha! The art show was held at First Congregational Church on February 22nd at 12 pm to 4 pm. It was a great turn-out with many participants and guests who came to see the submitted pieces. A few pieces were for sale and went for large prices. It was a great opportunity for young aspiring artists to have their work put into an art show.
