San Joaquin county small businesses and stores gather around Main Street in Ripon for the annual Main Street Day. Many students and adults participate and run the booths. They have many activities for all ages to entertain people. There are lots of things to see, walk, and try in this amazing yearly tradition.

“My favorite thing there was probably the Laceybird boutique stand. It’s a new boutique and Ripon and I love it. I found a really cute sweater that I got. It was pretty fun. I would not want to work there but I would definitely go back again because it’s fun to go with my family. It’s one of the only times we get to hang out with family,” Kylee Fullmer, sophomore.

Students at our school also participate in helping out with the booths. The Ag program for our school had a petting zoo that many little kids got to enjoy. Students also help out their families with their business and getting sales.

“My favorite part about Main Street Day was helping out my grandma with her booth. She does body sculpting and I helped her out throughout the day. It was really fun. I go every year, and this is my first year working there,” Tatiana Perez, freshman.

There were so many fun booths to visit that had fun things to see and do. To add to the fun Strom Troopers walked down the streets of Main Street.

“Stormtroopers are probably my favorite part of Main Street Day and I’m pretty sure the Fun Factory hired them. I loved it, and then there’s also a little hocus pocus booth that was also super cool,” Mackenzie Perry, junior.

This Ripon tradition is so fun for all ages and also helps out many businesses get customers and sales. Everyone enjoys Main Street Day and hopes that it will stay a year-round tradition for many years to come.[sno-poll id=”13213″ result_color=”undefined” tile_color=”undefined” align=”left” background=”on” background_color=”” border=”all” border_color=”” border_size=”” shadow=”on”]
