RHS’ winter formal is less than a month away on December 4th! The students are all so excited for our first formal dance in almost 2 years. People are already starting their formal proposals and looking for that special someone to take to the dance. Another huge part of Formal is the beautiful dresses. There are so many awesome sites to find exactly what you might be looking for. Putting together a gorgeous outfit for this magical night takes a lot of time, however, it is all worth it in the end.

“I went dress shopping in person and to Dillards in Stockton. They had so many options!! It was really fun because I found exactly what I was looking for and a dress that really fit me and my style,” said Reagan, sophomore.

Dillards is an amazing store to get dresses because there are a ton of unique styles and dresses. They also have an online store in case you don’t want to go all the way to Stockton. Another awesome store is Lulus or Lucy in the sky. They also have a ton of good options to choose from.

“I love the site Lulus because that’s where I got my dress and they also have really fast shipping, said Katelyn Boggetti, Freshman

Lulus is seriously so great because it was a dress for every occasion which makes it easy to find a dress you love. Lucy in the sky is similar.

The theme this year for formal is based on the disney movie, Tangled, so it will be adorable to see the lanterns and the stunning outfits paired with the night. Some people try to match their dress to the theme which is such a cute idea so hopefully we see a lot of pinks, purples, and yellows!

“Yes I think my dress matches the theme because it’s like a pastel pink and it’s a two piece. It’s so cute and I’m excited to wear it!,” said Reagan.

Another tradition for formal is matching with your date! So some examples are matching shoes, dress and Tie colors, and of course, the corsage.

“My date is matching his bowtie to the color of my dress and we are matching shoes,” said Katelyn

Formal is going to be so much fun this year! The theme is perfect, the proposals are all adorable, and the dresses will be so beautiful. RHS is going all out for this one!
