Ripon High School’s class of 2018 was welcomed last Thursday, February 27, 2014 by Link Crew.  This year’s link crew leaders made sure the next upcoming freshman were welcomed to Ripon High with open arms.  The students were guided by upper classmen all day showing them the ropes of Ripon High.  They learned about all the different activities that Ripon High has to offer, such as: choir, JROTC, and athletics.  More importantly, they received advice from their future fellow peers on tips about the do’s and don’ts of high school.

Going into high school can be overwhelming and intimidating for upcoming freshman.  Link Crew is a great way for upcoming freshman to make new friends and get a small taste of what high school is all about.  On 8th grade field day they also had a free hot dog and hamburger luncheon.  There the students reunited and ate lunch together.   After lunch the link crew leaders lead a tour throughout the school to different classrooms to see how classes are run at Ripon High.  Overall it was a fun, great day for all the students involved.
