Sunshine, Fun Times, and Self Care
Summer has so much in store, but things can get a bit costly with all the traveling and fun times being spent with friends. Between all of those exciting things that happen, you can get bored and not know what to do. The following are things that you can do with friends, family, or alone that range in how much money it would take to do these things. Some are more self care oriented, but can fill the void that is boredom.
- Make a list of goals for the summer
- Meditate/ do yoga outside
- If you want to spend time with people, be the first to make plans with them
- Take breaks from technology
- (Re)read a book
- Better your sleep schedule
- Set alarms of it will help you stay in the routine
- Move things around in your bedroom and other rooms to make it seem like a new space
- Clean out emails and who you follow/ who you’re following
- Lay in the sun, but not too long
- Make playlists for your music
- Pick flowers and press them
- Go to a thrift store or Ross and try on the most ridiculous outfits with friends
- Have a game night
- Take pictures in fun/ unusual places
- Stargaze
- Find a cafe or library to study/ do summer work at
- Do a scavenger hunt with friends
- Camp in the backyard
- Go on a try-on shopping with friends and try out things you wouldn’t normally wear
- Set up a projector outside and watch movies
- Visit a Farmers Market
- Plant succulents/ other plants
- Go hiking
- Learn to cook/ bake
- Get together with friends or family and have a cookout, BBQ, or potluck
- Make a fruit salad
- Redo your bedroom
- Go on a try-on shopping with friends and pick out things you wouldn’t normally wear
- Make homemade pizza
