The Ripon High girls’ golf team triumphed at their last match against notorious Calaveras High School, which has always had a strong golf program. However, the ladies were not phased. With the match on Jack Tone course they were already familiar with the terrain, giving them an edge.
That being said, Calaveras had their own strong team, and by T-off, only time would tell if the Indians would meet victory.
In the end, the ladies were successful, including Alyssa Demara who shot a solid 45(strokes). Demara had this to say. “We may have lost some players from last year, but we are still strong!” The final score in strokes was Ripon 163, Calaveras 190.
