Ripon’s Annual Main Street Day
The Ripon community hosts many events throughout the years. Main Street Day is one of the amazing annual events Ripon has to offer. Main Street Day is a wonderful time to have fun with all of your friends and family, with more than enough things to do.One of the events that they present is the car show. The car show has more than enough cars to be shown off during this event, filled with classic cars, sports cars, and everything in between, making it one of the most well-liked events of the day
“The car show is one of the most exciting things to do on Main Street Day. The showcase last year consisted of more than 100 cars that were shown off for the show, which was a huge success,” says Main Street Day Director Kelly.
There are many other activities to do at Main Street Day as well, such as the petting zoo, set up by Ripon High’s FFA club. The petting zoo consists of rabbits, pigs, steers, turtles, pigs, and goats, making it fun for everyone to enjoy.
“I was there monitoring all the animals, making sure that they were being taken care of […]. Being my 4th year doing this, it was a lot of fun […] and it was just a great experience because we got to meet community members,” says FFA President Angelina Cortez.
Another thing to do at Main Street Day is checking out the vendors who come from all over San Joaquin County to be a part of this annual event.
“Aside from all the events and activities, there are vendors who come here to sell their products. A lot of them sell art and just interesting knick-knacks, which is great for anyone interested in those things,” said Main Street Day Director Donohue.
“Overall, it’s just a great day for everyone in the community to come together to have fun, hang out, or to just see your friends and family, and we’re lucky to have the opportunity to do these kinds of things in our small community,” says Main Street Day Director Donohue.
