Mrs. Pendleton at her best

Being at Ripon High is all about being involved with staff and the people around us to get the full experience. Some teachers go out of their way to have a meaningful relationship with their students to make their four years memorable. Some outstanding teachers need recognition for being involved with Ripon High and one of them is Mrs. Pendleton.

Now you can’t say you haven’t seen her around or that you don’t know her name. Mrs. Pendleton is all around the school, during school, and after school. She is involved in multiple things such as the SuperFan app and takes time out of her day to create the videos you see at rallies or even on the SuperFan videos on Twitter and YouTube. She doesn’t only take time to run the SuperFan app but also is there during a lot of the games to support our Ripon High Indians. Talk about love for the school!

“I think because I grew up here and went to this school it means a lot more and having my kids here makes a difference, but I feel like being a part of the community and being a part of this school just means a lot more because Ripon means a lot to me,” Pendleton said.

Her love for the school didn’t just come out of nowhere. Just like many Riponites, Mrs. Pendleton came to Ripon High and enjoyed her four years here. This inspired her to want the students to have the same great experience as she had, and it led her to be even more connected to the school and the students.

“I’m able to see more of what happens around the school because of journalism, so it was a nice change,” Pendleton said.

As it was already enough, she is variously involved with a lot of the activities that go around the school, but she is also the main reason you are reading this article right now. As a biology teacher taking over a journalism class, it isn’t an easy transition, but she made it work. Now, she is the teacher for journalism and still manages to juggle around the other activities she is involved in around the school.

“I think the relationships with the kids and knowing that they know that I care – you know it means something. It’s not just a job I come to and leave, it’s something that kind of my whole life revolves around – so it means a lot more,” Pendleton said.
