Bundling Up for the Holidays
Many things have changed over the past decades, but winter fashion seems to have remained untouched. Although there are some minor changes within winter fashion trends but overall, it practically hasn’t changed at all. The many students and staff here at Ripon High that always wants to keep warm to beat the cold.
One of the fashion trends that has always been around is ugly sweaters. Of course, almost everybody celebrating the holidays thinks about ugly holiday sweaters as a must-have during the season. It’s also a nice way to stay warm and show your holiday spirit.
“I usually wear my ugly sweaters during parties and stuff. It’s just fun to like have some festive clothes around,” RHS Junior Marcus Ray said.
Another trend that hasn’t changed is how many students still wear ripped jeans during the cold, chilly season. A style that probably will never die down in any season, for those trying to go for that rebel look.
“I don’t understand it! And they always complain about how cold they are, and they got holes in their pants! So I don’t know what they’re complaining about. They need more physics classes to teach the laws about thermodynamics!” RHS Teacher Mr. Felver said.
Some of the staff here at Ripon High love to stay warm during the season as well, layering their clothes while wearing leather jackets, which is a nice and casual look for both school, and outside of school to both stay warm, and have a nice look.
“Ugly sweaters are dope, but when I’m out I also layer up. I love leather jackets though, cause they keep me dry, especially when it’s raining and lots of hoodies,”RHS Teacher Ms. Lausier said.
Be sure to stay warm this season and keep it festive and cuddly for the holidays!
