National FFA, Future Farmers of America, week is celebrated by people all across the country. It is always celebrated the week of George Washington’s birthday as he is celebrated by the group for his farming, agricultural, and financial skills. 

“It (FFA) means family, and having people who are there for you and people who you can trust. Between the advisors and members you always feel like you belong,” said Freshman Haley Knief

 Each year, the FFA class gets together to come up with fun dress-up days and other events, including the ice cream social, car and truck show, and staff breakfast. The dress up week started on Tuesday. It was animal print or senior class color orange. Wednesday was vsco or e-boy or junior class color green. Thursday was dynamic duo or sophomore class color yellow. Last but not least, Friday was blue and gold or freshman class color blue.

“An event that I really like is the rally because we get to put our name out there and it is really nice to be in contact with the school and kill all the stereotypes,” Senior Martiza Rodgriguez said.

Angelina Cortez mentioned that FFA is not just consisting of animals. She explains that they have multiple other aspects like speech contests and a wide range of competitions from floral to welding to livestock judging.

“FFA means a lot of things to me, but the most important thing is getting to learn many different leadership opportunities that a lot of students do not get to experience,” Senior FFA Vice President Alyssa Donich.
