Ah, senior year. One of the most memorable years of your high school experience. However, for the class of 2021, their senior year is off to a rough start with Distance Learning. This is not ideal at all but they are making it work for now. I interviewed four seniors at Ripon High and asked them all who they were. I asked a few questions about themselves also with their pov of senior year.  

Curless is involved in several things at Ripon High like Football, Wrestling, Track, and Leadership. “ My senior year has definitely been one to remember both for good and bad. But, it’s going pretty good.” Curless says he’s missing out on Friday night football games, dances, and senior activities.  “Distance learning has its pros and cons. But overall, it’s not the best thing but it’s also not the worst thing. It’s just kinda there.”

The next person I interviewed was Brooke Silva. Link Crew occupies a big role in Silva’s life! She says she enjoys welcoming the new freshman and making them feel comfortable. “Helping people out and spreading kindness is the main reason I joined Link Crew,” Silva stated. I asked her what she loves about Ripon High and she said, “RHS is definitely more than a school, a community actually, that supports each other in every way possible, Senior year at home is definitely something I did not expect to happen. It’s kinda difficult not having the senior year you’ve wanted since freshman year.
