3 Healthy And Easy Smoothie Recipes
As 2021 progresses through January, it’s a good idea to start healthy eating habits. A great way to jumpstart your new, healthy lifestyle is by drinking nutritious smoothies. Smoothies are easy to make as well as delicious and offer various health benefits, making them a great asset to any diet or meal plan. I’ll be telling you some of the tastiest and healthiest smoothie recipes to help jumpstart your resolutions to eat healthier this year.
Out of the three recipes, my favorite was the Triple Berry Smoothie. It had a great taste and texture and was easy to make. The ingredients consist of 1 banana, 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1 cup frozen blackberries, 1 cup frozen raspberries, ½ cup almond milk, and ½ cup of greek yogurt. Like any smoothie, all you need to do to make this recipe is throw the ingredients in the blender and blend until a thick and creamy texture is achieved. This recipe allows for a whole serving a fruit, which is great for anyone looking to eat healthier. Almond milk and greek yogurt are great alternatives for a sweeter taste, and is incorporated in this smoothie makes it a great addition to breakfast or any meal.
One smoothie I branched out and tried was the Keto Smoothie. All you need are 1 ½ cups frozen strawberries, 1 ½ cups frozen raspberries, 1 cup frozen blackberries, 2 cups coconut milk, and 1 cup of baby spinach. As someone who isn’t fond of coconut milk or spinach, I was hesitant to try this smoothie. To my surprise, this smoothie tasted amazing! It was simple to make and had a rich berry flavor. I could barely taste the spinach at all! This smoothie is great for those looking to start or continue the keto diet this year. Of all the smoothies I rate this one number 2 on the list.
The final recipe I tried was for “The Perfect Green Smoothie”. To make this smoothie you’ll need 1 ½ cup of almond milk, 1 cup chopped spinach, ½ cup chopped kale, 1 small banana, 2 tablespoons almond butter, and 2 tablespoons of honey. Like the Keto smoothie, I was hesitant to try this green smoothie. Although it didn’t turn out to be my favorite, it still tasted pretty good. This smoothie is also keto and offers great health benefits when regularly added to your diet. It’s great to drink when recovering from a workout, as the leafy greens provide you with energy to refuel your body. This smoothie was also the fastest to make. I rank this smoothie as number three on my list.
These three recipes will definitely be made more often in my household, as my whole family enjoyed them. They were simple and easy to make and saved a lot of time usually spent on making breakfast. Try these smoothies for yourself; you won’t be disappointed!
