Friday Night Lights Are Back!
The Corona Virus has taken a lot from us and activities such as seeing family, going out, and for athletes, sports. As of recent, the CIF has allowed sports to make a return to the high schools (with restrictions). For many high school students, this is a good thing, because Friday night lights are back!
It has been almost a year and a half since the team has had action on the football field. They have been having summer practices, after-school workouts, etc. While it has been a roller coaster for everyone on the team, they are finally returning and are having a season! The countless hours they have been putting in and are finally paying off.
“It feels unreal, we didn’t think we would be back but it’s all come full circle, we all put in countless hours of work for this season so to finally get one and have it all pay off is great. I know I’m going to enjoy every second of it,” stated Senior Johnny Ventura.

After halftime, it did not look the greatest for the Indians. Ultimately, the final score would be East Union 39 Ripon High 6. The Indians look to bounce back next week as they face the Manteca Buffaloes at Manteca Friday, March 26.
