Spring Is Here: It’s Craft Time!
Spring is here, and what better way to welcome in the new season than with some fun activities? Now more than ever, most people have a lot of extra time on their hands. Filling that extra time with fun and creative activities and crafts can help you feel more relaxed and productive. I have found some fun craft ideas to unlock your creative flow and get a jump start on this spring season. The links to each craft and their directions are listed below. Enjoy!
The first craft is for crystal geode eggs. This activity took a regular eggshell and turned it into a sparkling, crystallized shell. Even though this activity requires some time-consuming and tedious steps, the end product is well worth it. This project contains about 12 steps and takes about 15 hours to dry into its glistening form. It requires basic 12 supplies, some including eggshells, easter egg dyes, and glue. This beautiful egg can be used for just about anything, whether it be home decor or a unique addition to an easter egg hunt.
The second craft is for colorful, painted plate flowers. This hands-on activity takes a regular paper plate and transforms it into a beautiful piece of art! This craft contained around 6 or 7 steps and was relatively easy to make. My brother and I made this craft for fun and had a great time making it. It took us around 30 minutes to complete our flowers and we were very happy with the results. I highly recommend this craft!
The final craft is for pipe cleaner flower bouquets. This simple craft is quick and easy and is a great use for spring home decor. All you need is some colored pipe cleaners of your choice and some hot glue to piece together a few of the parts. Once your flowers are dry, you can choose to either group them into bouquets or leave them as individuals. Either way, you’ll end up with some pretty spring flowers that will be sure to last you through the season.
While crafting may seem overly time-consuming and tedious, I can assure you these three crafts are worth the work you put into them. They will last through as many spring seasons as you choose and are a fun and rewarding use of your time. Happy crafting!
