The NFL Has Officially Begun
It seems like the Superbowl ended ages ago and NFL fans are anxiously waiting for action from the league. On April 29, one of the most anticipated times during the offseason has arrived, the NFL draft.
The NFL Draft has finally arrived. The long-awaited need for some action finally came to a halt. This is an exciting moment for NFL fans since some intriguing prospects can put some mediocre team to the top of the cliff into playoff contention.
“The NFL draft is exciting because one draft can decide footballs future for the next two decades for example if Tom Brady went Undrafted would he have given up football, and that would have changed the league forever and that is just one example as every year one prospect can put a playoff team to the Super Bowl while a bad draft can cause the collapse of a once great organization.” stated sophomore Peyton Riseck.
Another one of the reasons NFL fans are very much in love with the draft is because there are some diamonds in the rough players that make impacts on the team many NFL scouts didn’t expect to turn out great and they do. For example, the undisputed greatest player of all time, Tom Brady, was not seen as a top-tier Quarterback entering the draft and now is seen by NFL fans as the best player to play the game of football.
“I think some really good players that are not super looked at but i think will be good are Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Trey Sermon, Justin Fields, and etc,” stated freshman Samantha Scheid.
This draft are some very intriguing prospects such as Trevor Lawrence, Kyle Pitts, Jamar Chase, and many more talented players. They are all projected to get selected high in this year’s draft, and whatever team they land to will be very fortunate, so this puts the Jacksonville Jaguars in a predicament as they possess the number one overall pick in this draft, players in the first round to help turn the franchise around.
“I think Trevor will go number one overall because he has proved to be the best quarterback at the collegiate level,” stated freshman Mikey Herera.
