This past Saturday at the Downey High Invitational, Ripon High senior Corey Winter broke the 100 butterfly record and the 100 backstroke record..
After years of hard work and training, Corey Winter breaks the 100 butterfly record with a time of 54.87 and the 100 backstroke record with a time of 55.29. Corey Winter is a star Ripon High athlete and student. Winter is currently senior class president and swims for Ripon Aquatics as well as Ripon High.
When asked about Winter’s record, fellow swimmer Andria Martin gave praise to Winter and congratulated him on his win. “I’ve know Corey for eight years now and he has been nothing but dedicated to his swimming.” Said Martin when asked about Winter. “It couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person.”
