Amidst the hustle of Ripon High, there’s one student who stands out, not just for her accomplishments, but for the positive vibes and spirit she brings to our  school everyday. This student is junior Olivia Maragos, who has earned spirit of the month for March of 2024. Maragos has earned spirit of the month by dressing up for every dress up day this year. Maragos most recognizable spirit outfit is when she dressed up as coach Velasco for ‘dress up like a teacher day’, which is her favorite spirit day thus far. Besides having school spirit, Maragos participates in track and soccer. Furthermore, she currently holds the track season record for the 1oo meter sprint.

When asked about her hobbies and sports Maragos says, “I run the 100 the 4×100 and long jump. I also play a lot of soccer.” Maragos is an amazing sprinter and inspires fellow sprinters to push themselves.

When asked what pushes her to continue to dress up for all of the spirit days she says “I think it’s fun and it’s a way to see the spirit around campus and see how we are all similar in some ways in showing spirit at Ripon High.” Journalism congratulates Maragos for getting the well earned spirit of the month award!
