Boys Varsity Volleyball takes the win once again, when up against Downey. On March 25, the boys played a fierce game against the knights, winning 3 out of 4 sets, 25-23, 25-19, 20-25, and 25-18.

Despite the teams hard work and determination throughout the whole game, varsity struggled quite a bit, just like any team under-pressure does. The first two sets were a fairly close tie, but thankfully varsity was able to pull through and take the first two wins of the game

However when it came to playing in the 3rd set, varsity fell behind and let the knights take the win for that set. Junior, Leonardo Barrera described the 3rd set as,

“Rough honestly, they had a lot of tough spikers, so it was pretty hard for our defense and blockers.”

In the 4th and final set, varsity pushed through to prove to their opponents that all their effort and commitment would finally pay off.

When acknowledging the teams strengths and weaknesses it’s important to remember that as a team there will always be ups and downs along the way, but a positive attitude is always a vital part of any team.

So make sure to continue cheering on these boys as they finish out the season strong!
