On Tuesday, January 23, the Ripon High Lady Indians (15-3), defeated the Hilmar Yellowjackets (13-8) in a hard fought game.

It was a difficult game, but the Lady Indians pushed through to remain undefeated in the TVL League.

“Everyone was involved. I was really proud of our team coming together and getting win number six in league and finishing the first half undefeated,” said coach, Rick Inderbitzen.

Sophomore, Reina Sausedo lead the team in points, with 20, to secure the win for the Indians. Although the girls pulled through, it was not an easy win.

“We need to work on boxing out for rebounds, playing better defense and improve on not making bad passes at crucial times,” said Inderbitzen.

The Lady Indians continue to work on remaining undefeated in the TVL, in hopes of winning the league. Their next game is Saturday, January 27th against the East Union Lancers for the 8th annual Hoops for the Cure fundraiser game.
