November 30, marks an amazing day for Ripon High Indians. We played Center High School at Sacramento City College for the Section Champions title and beat them 21-13. Center high school was
12-0 while we were 11-1, so it was also very exciting to beat an undefeated team. Our boys were super pumped as we haven’t won the Sections Champions title since 1996.

“This feels amazing just the fact that we are out here doing things no one thought we could, it’s pretty special,” said Senior Brandon Rainer.

In the first quarter, nobody made a single point. The 0-0 anticipation continued. In the second quarter, #23, Danny Hernandez made a 19-yard rushing touchdown. #55 Nathan Valdez’s kick was good making the score 7-0. With .47 left in half #7, Demoraw Jones made a touchdown for Center High School making the score 7-7.

“[parents]they have just supported me through everything I’ve ever done in this game and been by my side highs and lows, whatever it takes,” said Senior Grant Weibe.

In the third quarter, #80 Brandon Fernandes made a touchdown, we blocked their extra kick making the score 13-7. In the fourth quarter, #12, Nico Ilardi made a 21-yard pass completed to, #1, Dorian Dougherty for a touchdown, the extra kick was good, making the score 14
