Christmas Traditions

Christmas is right around the corner. Presents, food, blankets, music, and most all movies. The time of year to be cozy, warm, and festive. The times to remember when decorating your house, hanging out with friends, opening your presents and especially cooking.

“I listen to Christmas music on Pandora and we eat breakfast. We eat the same thing each year. It is an egg casserole. We have a later Christmas than most people so we can sleep in so we open presents around twelve. While we open presents my mom always takes photos and I hate it and it is annoying,” Freshman Grace Garza said.

Garza’s Christmas Traditions are very basic but she loves spending time with her family on Christmas Day.

“I usually do Elf on the Shelf. We make peanut butter cookies. We also hide a holiday pickle, where the person who finds the pickle gets extra presents and watch several cat movies. We watch cat movies on Hallmark,” Freshman Brianna Alvarez said.

Alvarez’s Christmas is very unique in her own way. She always looks forward to these traditions every year.

“Usually my family watches Hallmark movies. We watch love stories and family movies,” Junior Alexa Burton said.

Burton’s family is very casual during Christmas time. They just relax, get comfortable, and watch many movies together as a family.

I watch Christmas movies. My favorite movie to watch is the Grinch, it is my all time movie because it is just funny and interesting. I also love hanging out with my family.
