First-Hand Experience with the Coronavirus

First-Hand Experience with the Coronavirus

The Coronavirus outbreak started in December of 2019, in Wuhan, China, and has moved its way all around the globe causing a global pandemic. For all of 2020, new cases have been diagnosed every day. In this article, there are a few people who had the coronavirus who will be sharing their experience.

The first person that will share will be Layton Krygsheld. This year in November Krygsheld’s dad tested positive for Covid-19.

“The worst part about it was the sore throat […] But overall it was bad for about three days, and I recovered in 5 days,” Krygsheld said.

Krygsheld experienced some of the common symptoms of the coronavirus, but struggled with the intenser symptoms for a couple of days. Other families had this virus as well, but thankfully they did not have as intense of a case as Layton Krygsheld.

Something that helped me get through it was making it fun with my family like making dinners and just hanging out

“It was like having a bad cold and having no sense of taste and smell for two weeks. And the worst part about it was the body aches, horrible headaches, and loss of taste and smell,” Decena said.

Even though her symptoms were hard day to day, she’s glad she had her husband with her the whole time. Decena actually got to give herself the test at CVS! She was very glad she could do it herself.

“Something that helped me get through it was making it fun with my family like making dinners and just hanging out,” Krygsheld said
