2021 Girls Soccer Senior Night
Girl soccer senior night was a great experience for everyone. We shut out Western Ranch with a 9-0 score and almost every senior scored at least one goal. This year we got to celebrate our 5 seniors Alexis Brush, Jaden Vivit, Ariana Scholten, Hailey Pugh, and Kailey Tijero.
Kailey Tijero, a senior on the team stated, “I have loved these past four years of playing soccer for RHS and I’m so sad to see them ending. It’s been a long journey with some of the best teammates and I won’t forget any of the memories we made. I really appreciate everything the girls did for us on senior night. I was not expecting to have that much love and support on one night but everyone did so much to make senior night one to remember.”
This senior night us younger classmen got to make cute posters celebrating the amazing seniors and they also made cute baskets full of assortments of things. At half time Bryce Perkins, the girls soccer coach, gave a cute speech bringing few into tears. Then after his speech he walked down to them with bouquets of flowers for each of them to have.
Ariana Scholten, a senior on the team stated, “This year’s senior night was so amazing. Sunshine, Bryce, Ellie, and Aubree did an amazing job and it’s a day I will truly never forget. I’m so grateful for our amazing coaching staff and our amazing team!”
After the game, Ellie Everhart gave a cute speech about the future goals, achievements, and advice to younger classmen that the seniors have. While she talked about each senior, the younger classmen brought down their baskets. Almost every senior was brought to tears at the thought of growing up and getting out of high school. But after the speeches, the team and parents got tacos and ice cream. This senior night made great laughs and memories for years to come.
Alexis Brush, a senior on the team stated, “The one recommendation I would give for new people coming in next year is never let fear hold you back from doing something you love and don’t be afraid to make mistakes because bouncing back from your mistakes is what’s most important.”
We are so sad to see our amazing girls soccer seniors go but we are excited about what they will do in the future. We love our girls soccer seniors and we wish you the best of luck in this new part of your life!
