Boys’ Volleyball Three Set Win

Boys+Volleyball+Three+Set+Win

Ripon High boys varsity volleyball faced Riverbank March 2. and showcased an all around impressive performance in a three set win of 25-5, 25-6, and 25-11.

The first two sets of the game could be described as trouble-free, as Ripon was able to keep pressure on Riverbank with their unreturnable serves that remained consistent throughout the entirety of the game. The boys’ consistency and techniques left Riverbank to deal with out-of-system balls and the inability to properly run their offense without a satisfactory pass.

Game against Orestimba, March 5.

However, like any team, Ripon faced difficulties of their own in communication. Sophomore middle blocker Trent Olmo acknowledges their strength in serving and overall offense but proves that no team is perfect.

“There are definitely things to improve on and one thing we always have a problem with and have to discuss is our communication on the court.”

Communication is key in every sport, and the only way to truly avoid a bad pass or messy play is to use your voice.

Ripon travels to Downey High School today to play at six and we can’t wait to see how the boys learn from their mistakes and continue to improve.
