With volleyball being one of the most popular sports for girls to play, most of the girls put their sweat and full effort into it as it was their last home game. Senior Night took place on Oct 21 2025, we saw four girls that have put their effort into this team for all their years in high school. Before the seniors went on the court to play their last home game ever with Ripon High, they walked while their family escorted them. Each girl was given a gift basket and a bouquet of flowers as they walked down.
Junior, Alayna Sprinkle, introduced senior Adriana Dorn, and told everyone about how Dorn plans to attend college at University of Pacific while playing D1 volleyball. Dorn was escorted by her supporting family. Junior, Kennedy Everhart, had a speech dedicated to Dorn. Everhart explained how Dorn has been there for her and how strong of a friendship they have built and how she can’t believe that this is one of their last games ever together.
Dorn states, “I had fun playing my last home game with this group of girls.”
After Everhart’s heartwarming speech, Dorn runs over and hugs her as Olivia Nueman gets ready to walk on.
Olivia Neuman was introduced by Junior, Jazmin Gonzalez. Neuman walked on with her mother, father, and sister. As they escorted her onto the court Gonzalez talked about how Neumann plans to attend college. Freshman, Elysa Meinike, had a speech dedicated to Nuemen, saying how she is grateful that Olivia volunteered to be her partner for things.
“I had a bittersweet feeling about the night,” Neumann states. “I am happy to open this new chapter in my life but I am also sad because I will miss Elysa.” Elysa runs up to Olivia to hug her as both of their eyes are watering.
Junior, Savannah Parsons, introduced Kylie Machado as she walked with her family. The crowd cheered as Parsons stated how Kylie has always been a mentor for her and such a kind person to her since she started playing. Not only has she been a person to look up to on the court, she also has a yearbook for Parsons. Machado states that it felt surreal and it was a full circle moment.
Olivia Taylor walked onto the court while junior, Jorie Eskes, was talking about the future she was planning on pursuing. Taylor was supported by her family and they were cheering her on as she walked down the court. Sophomore, Ashlyn Malone, was expressing how much Olivia has done for the team, and acknowledges her dedication.” I wanted it to be perfect and it was exactly that,” Taylor states. “Everyone was crying but it honestly just shows how much we all love each other.”
Senior night isn’t only about goodbyes, it’s a celebration of accomplishments and lasting bonds. Teammates rally together, determined to play their best in honor of the seniors who have led the way for them. The energy is different, every point, every play, and every cheer feels bigger and more meaningful. As these girls walk off the court for the last time they walk out not only as athletes but as role models for the years to come. Senior night reminds everyone that while the season’s end, the memories and friendships that they have built along the way will last forever.
