At Ripon High, the varsity softball team has been playing a strong and fun season. On Thursday April 2nd 2026, Ripon High played an especially strong game against RC. This was a home game, with the weather during the game foreshadowing towards summer. The mood in the stands on April 2nd was ecstatic, with the parents, family, and friends of the players cheering and bonding. All of these lovely components, plus strong pitching, 1st base, and teamwork led Ripon to beat Ripon Christian 19-0.
Calli Kahan, a junior at RHS and varsity softball player comments on the game. Kahan states, “I think we played well because we were really hyped for the game. The team is bonding really good and we have good communication.”
The game was over quickly, with most of RC’s hitters striking out. Even when one RC player was able to hit the ball, the team quickly threw the ball to the first baseman, Mikayla Dietrich, who got the runner out.
Congrats RHS softball on a fantastic game!
