The Lady Indians played their last game of the season in the Norcal D2 round 1, ending their season on Nov. 11. The girls have advanced throughout the season, earning the title of league champions, and making it to D3 section finals. The girls have worked extremely hard all season to accomplish these goals, practicing each week day and working hard as a team to improve.
“I believe our team has improved throughout this season significantly through working on defense, working as a team and not individually, and also having self discipline to have a good mindset and to always be trying out hardest and giving effort,” says junior Savannah Parsons.
For the seniors last year, everyone was trying their hardest to win sections and get the blue banner for their last time. The girls were so close to winning sections, losing in the fifth set, 8-15. The girls put up a huge fight, coming back from losing the first 2 sets in a row.
A freshman on varsity, Elysa Meineke says, “I think that we worked really hard, I just think we waited too long to get competitive.”
As the season comes to an end, it’s an emotional roller coaster for the seniors. Realizing your high school career is over, and it is your last time playing for your school can be so many different emotions.
Leaving senior, Olivia Neuman says, “I was sad but also happy because I know I left everything on the court and I have no regrets. I’m also very proud of my team and I have full trust in all of them to continue on the legacy that the seniors created.”
The girls had an incredible season, accomplishing more than others. As a bittersweet moment for all, the underclassmen will carry on into 2026 for the ripon volleyball legacy!
