Leadership class of Ripon High School is having a Cancer Awareness week to bring attention to all the different types of cancer. There are more than 100 types of cancer which include breast cancer, skin cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and lymphoma. For each Cancer type there are treatments which may include chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery.
Cancer Awareness week starts on Monday April 24 and goes all week long until Friday April 28.

Monday April 24-
Pink: It’s pink for breast cancer.
Tuesday April 25-
Dark Blue or Navy: It’s Dark Blue to bring awareness to Colon Cancer.
Wednesday April 26-
White: It’s white for bringing awareness to Lung Cancer.
Thursday April 27-
Teal: It’s teal to bring awareness to Ovarian Cancer.
Friday April 28-
Yellow: It’s yellow for bringing awareness to Sarcoma/Bone Cancer.
