If you didn’t already know, the White House Correspondents Dinner was hosted on Saturday night by SNL cast member Cecily Strong. While her jokes were not quite a hit with the tough crowd, president Obama’s sure were. Pres. Obama’s comedic timing sure was on this past Saturday night, but it wasn’t just his backhanded, off the wall poking fun at at the press. Easily the best part of the night was Pres. Obama’s “Luther the Anger Translator” skit with Keegan-Michael Key from Comedy Central’s hit show ‘Key and Peel.’ The comedic duo played their parts to the “T”, with Key obviously playing Pres. Obama’s anger translator Luther, until a surprise, plot-twist ending. Unfortunately for Strong, it wasn’t her best night, getting more shocked “oohs” then laughter. Whether it was because of the late timing or the tough crowd, her jokes just weren’t a hit.
