RHS came out strong, completely taking over the court in their matchup against Kimball. On Dec 10, 2025, the Ripon High wrestling team faced off against Kimball High in an intense evening match starting at 5:30 PM. The team came ready to compete, and both the varsity boys and girls showed incredible skill on the mat.
The varsity boys dominated the match, winning with a strong score of 68-6. Every wrestler gave their best, and standout performances helped secure the big win. Joaquin Rodriguez, a senior from the RHS wrestling team said, “The match was quick, it was nine seconds long, probably the fastest I’ve ever wrestled someone.” His win showed not only his speed and skill but also the preparation and focus of the entire team. The boys kept the pressure on throughout the match, moving quickly, executing their techniques, and making it difficult for Kimball to respond. Their teamwork and determination were clear in every round, helping secure the decisive victory.
Meanwhile, the varsity girls also performed exceptionally, taking the match 24-3. They displayed the same intensity and focus as the boys, executing fast moves and strong holds while working together as a team. Junior wrestler Kayley Hernandez stated,“Besides my win, our whole wrestling team worked really hard and helped us get a huge victory against Kimball High School.”
Overall, the evening was a huge success for the Ripon Wrestling team. The game highlighted teamwork, focus, and dedication players had for wrestling. With performances like these, the team looks ready to carry this energy into upcoming games and continue building on their strong season!
