We all know the phrase “we have spirit yes we do, we have spirit how about you”, and Ripon High showed their spirit this week for Warm and Fuzzy dress up. Our Freshman leadership officers put a lot of work into not just the dress up days but some fun activities. Each morning was a picture with the grinch and a guess of who was behind the mask.
Monday, wear your favorite fuzzy socks. In this cold weather keeping your body warm is important but keeping your feet warm is essential. Students walked around showing the spirit in every step. Our first grinch of the week was Beshoy!
Tuesday, bring your favorite blanket. Fuzz filled the hallways and students kept warm in a cute and festive way. Students had to focus on not falling asleep in their comfy attire. Junior, Violet Wagner says, “Blanket day was my favorite because it put everyone in a good mood.” Along with our cozy comforters Jeremiah came to school green and fuzzy.
Wednesday, wear your winter accessories. 50 degrees is way too chilly so beanies and gloves it is! Puffer vests and scarfs and heaters on high. Wednesday was full of warmth inside and out. Along with the dress up day there was a christmas tree in front of the AG building. Coincidently, right next to the tree was Henry Burger in a green suit and red hat.
Thursday, wear your ugly sweater. A long standing tradition of Christmas is an overfilled sweater. Ripon students showed their Christmas pride with their truly ugly sweaters. Back again Jeremiah Ramirez disguised as the grinch took pictures with eager kids.
Friday, pajamas galore! Pajama day is many students’ favorite day of every spirit week. Freshman, Claire Rietkerk says “My favorite dress up day is pj day because it is super cozy” , and I couldn’t agree more. And on our last day of the week Danika Fitzpatrick backflipped into the weekend in her grinch attire.
Throughout the week our student body showed the winter magic through their spirited attire. In the spirit of Christmas, why do the dress up days have to stop?
