Halloween isn’t just about candy- it’s about showing off your best costume and hanging out with friends. This year, Ripon High hosted a lunchtime hangout with pumpkin painting, games and more.
Costumes are the foundation of Halloween and Lia Duarte states, “My favorite part of the activity was seeing everyone’s cool costumes, people really went full out to create cool and creative outfits.” There were many group costumes like The Wizard of Ozz and Coraline, but after a thorough judging Ajit Johal, a junior, took the title of “Best Dressed” with his costume of character Brook from the popular anime One Piece.
While costumes play a big part in Halloween fun, the fall activities really set the spooky mood. Friday’s festive hangout had many fun activities, one of those being face paint. This booth was run by two ASB students that brought the fun to peoples faces, but the ASB student that brought the activity to life is Evangeline Christensen. She states, “It seems like the students had a nice time, and that’s all that matters”.
From an idea to a reality, this fall festivity brought light to the student body. With student leaders and their brilliant ideas, who knows what other magical activities will come to Ripon High.
